🤖 GPT-4 Makes History

In case you were living under a rock all week: GPT-4 is here, and it's incredible.

Here's the rundown:

  • It made history as the first-ever AI model that can 'see.' GPT-4 can describe, analyze and perform tasks from pictures. Watch this demo of it turning a sketch into a fully functional website.

  • It's much more intelligent than GPT-3.5. The new model performs in the 90th percentile across multiple exams.

  • It can handle 25,000+ words from the previous 3,000 in GPT-3.5.

  • It's available in ChatGPT for premium users, and on Bing Chat

Since the launch on Tuesday, a handful of companies including Bing, Milo, BeMyEyes, Intercom, Khan Academy, and even the Government of Iceland, have disclosed that they had early access and have been building using GPT-4 all along.

We can expect a wave of new incredible AI products in the coming weeks, and you'll get the news here first, before everyone else (we won't be sleeping 🙃).

🚀 Google Releases AI Features

About an hour before OpenAI completely took over social media, Google released its new AI features, which are pretty cool.

There were two significant announcements:

  1. Google opened access to PaLM's API. Developers can now build content and applications on top of the LLM. Read more

  2. They are bringing AI features to Google Workspace. A few features include: replying and summarizing in Gmail, capturing notes in Meet, and generating images/videos in Slides. Read more

While Microsoft and OpenAI are getting all the spotlight, this is a massive drop for Google, and they'll be rolling these features to over 3 billion of its users

💉 Microsoft Gave Clippy Steroids

Yesterday, Microsoft dropped another bomb and launched 365 Copilot, 'your copilot for work.'

Here's the rundown on what it can do:

  • Generate documents from previous existing documents in Word

  • Prepare for your meetings by accessing your calendar and email

  • Automatically capture your meeting notes in Teams

  • Analyze your data in Excel, and create professional visualizations in seconds

  • Create a Powerpoint from a simple prompt, adding content from previous documents

Essentially, it's ChatGPT for all Microsoft 365 apps and equips anyone using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more with their own personalized AI assistant.
