🧠 Connect GPT-4 to Your Brain
In this incredible YouTube video, Fireship hooked up a device called the Crown into GPT-4 with some basic Javascript programming. Doing this allowed him to communicate with GPT-4 using just his thoughts.
The Crown is similar to Neuralink, except you can wear it on your head, instead of implanting an entire chip into your brain. Essentially, the Crown works by:
Measuring brainwaves with tiny electrodes on the back of the head
Connecting to a mobile app via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi
Providing utilities for improving focus and accessing raw data in JSON
This fascinating experiment offers a glimpse into a transhuman cyborg future, where every human (or at least every wealthy human) will have access to all the knowledge in the world, not just at their fingertips but through their very own brain.
What would you do to get all the knowledge of GPT-4 into your brain? |
💻 Replit Teams Up With Google

Replit is a free online IDE (integrated development environment) that helps you go from idea to live software with minimal setup. It's been a dream for developers, as they can bring projects to life faster than ever.
And it just got even better- over 20 million Replit developers will now have access to Google Cloud services, infrastructure, and foundation models for generative AI.
The rundown of the partnership:
Allows Google Cloud and Workspace developers to use Replit's collaborative code editing platform
Demonstrates Google Cloud's commitment to building an open ecosystem for AI-generated code
Represents the next step for Replit's goal of empowering 1 billion software creators
This incredible announcement comes shortly after Github revealed the launch of Copilot X, which we covered in this issue.
📱 Perplexity's New iPhone App
Perplexity just announced their new iPhone app and a $25.6 million series A funding round.
If you've missed some of our previous issues covering Perplexity, it's an alternative to ChatGPT, providing source citations for its answers. Unlike ChatGPT, which often fabricates sources, Perplexity, Bing, and Consensus are the best bets if you're looking for citations.
The newly launched Perplexity iPhone app offers users instant answers through text, voice search, follow-up questions, and thread history.
With the recent influx of $25.6 million in funding, alongside the expansion to iOS, Perplexity is another company making big moves in the AI industry.
